How is a job priced?
Jackman Mechanical prices each job directly with you, after hearing what is wrong and seeing the photos or the job itself. There is no price list on this website, and nothing on it is a quote. When a job is quoted, you get a written estimate by text or email, as a link, that shows the work and the price before the work starts. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and HST is added where it applies.
How do I accept an estimate?
Open the link and reply as it asks, or call or text us to say yes. Work starts once you have said yes. If the job turns out to need more than the estimate covers, we tell you before doing the extra work.
How do I pay?
The invoice comes the same way as the estimate, as a link with a PDF copy, and it lists the ways to pay that invoice. The ways Jackman Mechanical's office software records are:
| Way | How |
|---|---|
| Card online | From the invoice link, when the invoice offers it. Stripe processes the card; the card number never reaches us. |
| Interac e-Transfer | As the invoice says, with the invoice number in the message. |
| Cheque | Payable to Jackman Mechanical Ltd. |
| Cash | On the day, with a receipt. |
Once a payment is recorded, a receipt comes to you by text or email.
How do I cancel or move a booked visit?
Call (416) 888-1371 or text (289) 639-2754 as early as you can, and we will find another time.
How are refunds handled?
If something is wrong with a charge or with the work, call or text us first so we can look at it with you. Refunds are settled job by job. A refund of a card payment goes back to the card it was paid with.
What about the website itself?
The guides on this site quote official sources and link to them, and they are general information, not advice about a particular home or building. The rules change, so the official page always wins; each guide shows the date it was last updated. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of a price, a time or a result.
